Strength and fitness are the cornerstones of a vibrant life, and two of the best predictors of your future health. They determine your vitality, your energy levels, and your overall quality of life.
But how do you know if you’re on the right path for a healthier, happier future?

Without consistent exercise our physical capacity declines, especially in our later years.
Conversely, the right kind of consistent exercise can keep our bodies working well.
Over time you can compare your fitness score to your benchmark, making it really easy to understand how your health is progressing and if you are on track to meeting your goals, whatever they may be!

Our results so far have demonstrated that when we put the right interventions in place, the increase in fitness and strength lead to an additional 10 to 15 years of health and well being!

Age isn’t Just a Number

Let’s be real – getting older comes with its challenges. Without consistent exercise, our physical capacity declines, making everyday activities more difficult and less enjoyable. But the good news is, with the right kind of consistent exercise you can keep your body performing, no matter your age. Whether your goal is to run a marathon or simply keep up with your grandchildren, we’ve got your back!

How long does it take?

The fitness and strength testing session will take approximately 60 minutes of your time face-to-face at one of our clinics. However, you’ll only be exercising for about 20 minutes of this time.

How much does it cost?

The cost of this product is $149. For this you will get your aerobic fitness and 4 strength tests benchmarked for your age and gender (two upper body and two lower body). You will also receive a report of findings and a subsequent 30-min coaching session with an Exercise Scientist to help you interpret your results and plan your future exercise regime.

How hard are the tests?

The aerobic fitness test lasts about 10-15 minutes. While it gradually becomes more challenging, it is not a maximal effort. This test will get you to approximately 70-80% of your maximum heart rate which will make you feel like you are breathing harder but it shouldn’t feel uncomfotable.

The strength tests require you to try as hard as you can so long as you can perform them pain free. However, these tests generally do not last any longer than 30 seconds.

Do I get a report of my findings?

Yes. You will receive a two page report outlining your results as well as your recommendations as to how you can improve your fitness and strength scores.

Do I get the chance to discuss my results with a professional?

Yes. You will get the opportunity to discuss your results and potentials ways to improve them with an Exercise Scientists either face-to-face or online (whichever is more convenient for you).

What do I need to wear?

You will need to wear comfortable clothing that enables you to move freely. You will be exercising for about 20 minutes so this is enough time to work up a bit of a sweat so you may need to bring a change of clothes if you have to go to work or have other engagements after the session.

We have showers and changeroom facilities if you require these.

Can I do the tests if I have an injury?

Depending on your injury, some of the strength tests may not be able to be performed or may need to be modified. Some tests only take the strongest arm or leg so if one side is injured you’ll still be able to complete these.

If you’re unsure, please reach out and we’ll be able to go through your particular circumstances.
